This is a great trail for water crossings and big views that climbs over 11 miles to 12,846 feet. At the end of the trail where the ring of mountains are, high above timberline is a beautiful, green basin. The trail ends just past the remains of the Iron Mike Mine. Looking back is French Mountain, Casco Peak to ther right, and Mount Elbert in front. We were treated to a 75 plus Elk herd at the Mine.
